Forwarder Flexport expands management team

Freight forwarder Flexport  has appointed three new people to its management team as it looks to continue to grow.
Sudhanshu Priyadarshi has been appointed chief financial officer, Huey Lin is president of Asia, and Jeff Thomas as chief marketing officer.
Priyadarshi will lead all financial operations for the company. He has more than 20 years of experience and brings operational knowledge in e-commerce, retail, pharmaceutical and consumer goods in the US, Asia, and Australia.
Most recently, he was vice president of finance for Walmart US e-commerce.
"We plan to scale the company tremendously in the new year," said Petersen. "Sudhanshu has driven growth and transformed companies in both emerging and developed markets.
Lin will oversee all activity for Flexport across Asia, which is one of the company’s fastest growing and most strategic geographies.
She spent more than a decade at PayPal, where she led China and Asia-Pacific operations in addition to serving in key leadership roles in product, international risk, and policy strategy.
“With Huey’s extensive knowledge of the business landscape in China, she will be instrumental in helping Flexport expand its services along the critical transpacific eastbound trade route, which connects Asia and the US and is one of Flexport’s largest and most critical trade routes,” the company said.
Finally, Thomas will be responsible for leading all company-wide, global marketing activities, bringing more than 20 years’ of experience at major technology companies, including Salesforce.com.
He will build and grow Flexport’s global brand, drive sales pipeline development and revenue growth, and solidify Flexport’s market position as the premier freight forwarder driving digital transformation in the industry.
In the past year, Flexport has doubled its headcount to over 1,000, expanded its number of offices to nine, added services including trade finance, insurance, and customs brokerage, and added key services such as airfreight, trucking, and warehousing.
