Salguero joins AIA Cargo in worldwide network role

Airbridge International Agencies (AIA Cargo) has appointed Jaime Salguero as worldwide network and commercial vice president, reporting to the cargo management company’s chief executive, Mark Andrew.
Salguero joins AIA with 24 years professional background as executive director in the airfreight industry, with management experience of cargo general sales and services agents (GSSAs) and at airlines around the world.
Salguero said: ”It will be a pleasure to support the organisation to further strengthen its business growth and worldwide expansion strategy.
“There are fantastic opportunities to gradually grow the cargo GSSA business as well as to implement innovative business lanes for the benefit of our airline customers and partners. I very much look forward to contributing with AIA success and supporting our teams and management to consolidate AIA Cargo’s global presence in the industry.“
Andrew said: “AIA Cargo currently has a number of own, or franchise partner offices providing cargo GSSA worldwide coverage. AIA cargo has seen a constant growth since business began in 2008 and is proud to represent a number of carriers worldwide.
"With Jaime on board we are now looking at ways to increase and develop our network of offices and further mandates. Jaime’s record speaks for itself and we believe with his knowledge and know how we have found the right person to help AIA develop and maintain the targets our board set. We are very much looking forward to the future with Jaime on board.”
