Uniserve names Overman as group chief operating officer

UK-based Uniserve has appointed Kim Overman as its new group chief operating officer.
The new position was created to support the company’s “ongoing growth and [to] build on the success of the UK’s largest independent logistics and global trade management provider”.
Overman has worked in the logistics industry for 34 years, and has previously held senior positions at MSAS, Fritz/UPS and Damco.
Most recently, he was global head of retail for forwarder and supply chain services giant Damco. Overman has been based in Asia for the past 11 years, specialising in supply chain management and forwarding services.
“Joining Uniserve was a very easy decision to make,” Overman informed, describing Uniserve as a forward-thinking global business, which “provides quick decision making in an ever-changing global market”.
Uniserve Group managing director Iain Liddell said that the appointment was part of an effort to “refresh and improve our operational platform now that the UK is moving into a new era of global trade”.
He said that Overman’s knowledge of the retail sector as well as his experience of the Asia market “makes him a perfect fit for us and will no doubt provide further benefits to our many retail customers”.
