Vertannes joins e-Cargoware board

Airfreight IT firm e-Cargoware has appointed industry veteran Des Vertannes as its non-executive chairman.
Vertannes, who was recently inducted to TIACA hall of fame, was latterly IATA’s head of cargo and, in a long career, held management positions including Air Menzies international, Gulf Air and Etihad Airways.
e-Cargoware’s platform is used by ground handlers, GSAs and airlines to manage sales, operations and management of cargo.
Vertannes  said: “E-Cargoware has built a niche in the air freight industry as a provider of simple, easy to use and cost effective cargo management platform on the Cloud. I am looking forward to working with the team and help them realize their of vision of transforming the air cargo community by eliminating inefficiency through paperless freight.”
E-Cargoware chief executive Ramesh Darbha, added that his firm would benefit greatly from Vertannes’ “industry knowledge, expertise and strong focus on driving long-term growth”.
