TIACA teams up with TSA Group on training

UK-based aviation consultancy TSA Group has appointed TIACA as a non-exclusive agent, the objective being to work together on a training programme for air cargo professionals.

TSA Group’s existing courses are certified by the UK Department of Transport and cover topics such as general security awareness, air cargo security, lithium battery transport, and advanced screening regimes.

TIACA’s training initiatives include its Air Cargo Supply Chain Internship as well as its Professional Development Workshop Program, designed by Strategic Aviation Solutions International (SASI).

The focus of the joint training programme is the transportation of dangerous goods and aviation security.

Together, TIACA and TSA Group will also develop new courses covering topics such as ‘Air Transportation – A Manager’s Perspective’ and ‘Aviation Management’ in order to provide participants with a complete overview of the industry.

Vladimir Zubkov, TIACA secretary general, said: “Training is pivotal to the future success of our industry, and as the only association to represent every segment of the air cargo supply chain, we are in a unique position to support and encourage this.

“Our partnership with TSA Group will complement the well-established courses structured and run by SASI and provide for a combination of different methods of training, thus offering TIACA members a comprehensive and modern training environment,” he added.

Patricia Setrakian, managing director at TSA Group, said: “Well-trained staff apply better efficiencies to the operation whilst maintaining compliance at the highest level. This is of considerable value, especially in our industry.”
