BidAir acquires Imperial Air Cargo

Johannesburg based BidAir Cargo has acquired the business of Imperial Air Cargo (IAC) in a deal approved by the South African Competition Commission.
IAC’s network links Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban with overnight services using a trio of contracted Boeing 737-200 freighters.
The cargo flights are integrated with land based feeder services that connect with Bloemfontein, George and East London.
BidAir Cargo’s existing services see the company managing daytime cargo operations on domestic passenger services. “As two separate companies we collaborated closely in serving the express logistics industry for many years,” Garry Marshall, BidAir Cargo managing director told local press.
