Ruslan International moves giant power station rotor

RUSLAN International, which manages and markets the combined fleets of its shareholders Antonov Airlines and Volga Dnepr Airlines, has carried this giant power station rotor from Kuwait to Singapore, using one of the 17 An-124 aircraft under its management.
Loading and unloading the rotor – weighing 99 tonnes on its custom-designed cradle required the use of mobile cranes and the aircraft’s own portable ramp system, the latter adding a further seven tonnes to the total load uplifted.
The aircraft used is the first An-124 to be re-painted in the new blue and yellow livery already seen on its unique An-225 aircraft.
