Menzies renews Schiphol cargo contracts

Menzies Aviation has renewed cargo contracts with two key customers at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
FedEx renewed its ramp and cargo contract with the UK-based airport services firm, which sees Menzies continue to handle FedEx’s daily freighter into Schiphol.
US-based cargo carrier Kalitta Air also renewed its contract for ramp handling at the Netherlands hub and, in addition, Menzies provides the airline with cargo handling.
Menzies has also announced a variety of passenger airline contract wins that expands its presence across Europe.
At Stockholm Arlanda, Menzies  has been contracted to deliver ground handling operations for Air Baltic. It has also welcomed China Eastern, China’s second largest airline, as a customer to its Stockholm operations.
In addition, Menzies has been awarded a passenger and ramp handling contract by Siberia airlines at both Stockholm and Copenhagen. From January 2019, Menzies Aviation will take over Finnair’s operations at Copenhagen airport.
Outside of Scandinavia, Menzies has been awarded a contract by Czech Airlines, which sees Menzies provide handling operations for an additional 16,000 flights per year at Prague Vaclav Havel Airport.
Menzies Aviation chief executive Forsyth Black said: “The contract wins with Air Baltic, Siberia Airlines and China Eastern have helped to fuel our strategic expansion throughout the Scandinavian region.
"In particular, it is pleasing to see growth at our Copenhagen station, which has gone from strength to strength since operations began in 2015.
"Our renewed contracts with cargo customers FedEx and Kalitta highlight the success of our new cargo strategy and the great work our employees deliver to customers on the ground, demonstrating that Menzies Aviation is the leading premium brand in the aviation services sector.”
