AA Cargo’s freight volumes up 19 per cent

AMERICAN Airlines Cargo’s (AA Cargo) freight volumes were up almost 19 per cent in October, compared with the same month in 2012.
“The past few months have been very gratifying for us with continued network growth, enhancements to our customer experience and now six consecutive months of year-over-year traffic growth – this month in the double digits,” reveals Kenji Hashimoto, president of AA Cargo.
“Add to all of that, during our busiest October in recent years, American set records for its operational performance. We are very pleased with these strong results.”
Apart from expanding its cargo services within the USA, the carrier is also launching a number of new routes over the next few months to Italy, Brazil and Columbia.
In June 2014, new services to China (Hong Kong and Shanghai) will get under way.
