ACG doubles freighter fleet capacity

GERMAN regulators have given Air Cargo Germany (ACG) the go ahead to operate a second B747-400SF with immediate effect. It will be based at Frankfurt-Hahn airport as is the first.

“Our fleet development programme is [proceeding] entirely according to schedule,” said managing director, Thomas Homering. “Now we are able to offer the markets a combined transport capacity of up to 220 tons and our operation becomes more flexible due to the second aircraft.”

ACG is in final talks with aviation authorities in a variety of countries to obtain traffic rights for scheduled services. “A first positive result we expect shortly,” said chief executive officer, Michael Bock.
