AEI redelivers Allied Air’s second B737-400SF 11-pallet freighter

FREIGHTER conversions specialist Aeronautical Engineers Inc (AEI), has redelivered the second of four Allied Air B737-400SF 11-pallet freighters.
The second freighter is a high-gross-weight B737-400SF built in 1994. The conversion, performed at AEI’s authorised conversion centre, Flightstar Aircraft Services in Jacksonville, Florida, is AEI’s 15th redelivery this year.
The Nigerian cargo airline, based in Lagos, has two of four planned AEI B737-400SFs.
Val Tongo, chief executive of Allied Air, states: “AEI has once again delivered an industry-leading B737-400SF that exceeds our expectations. The AEI design simply just works day in and day out, allowing my team to focus on doing what they do best, moving freight safely and reliably."
AEI’s B737-400SF provides the carrier’s customers, including DHL, with an Ancra Cargo Loading System (CLS) capable of carrying multiple ULDs.

“This unique flexibility has been designed by AEI to allow the operator to immediately adapt to multiple ULD configurations at a moment’s notice,” an AEI statement reads.
