Air cargo industry invited to online Q&A about wildlife trafficking

The authors of a new report on of wildlife trafficking in the air transport sector are hosting an online presentation and Q&A in June for members of the industry to learn more about the findings.
The USAID Reducing Opportunities for Unlawful Transport of Endangered Species (ROUTES) Partnership will hold the session on 21 June, 2017, at 10:00am EST as findings from a new report, Flying Under the Radar: Wildlife Trafficking in the Air Transport Sector, are presented by the authors from C4ADS.
The report analyses ivory, rhino horn, reptile and bird seizures within airports from January 2009 to August 2016, revealing the widespread exploitation of the air transport sector by wildlife trafficking networks.
Flying Under the Radar is the most comprehensive assessment of wildlife trafficking in the air transport sector to date, and outlines more than a dozen recommendations for preventing wildlife trafficking through the air transport sector.
The presentation will feature an overview of key report findings and recommendations for airport personnel followed by a Q&A. Register here
