Air Cargo News exclusive – DHL fires Ude

RUMOURS circulating in the German market suggest Hermann Ude, DHL Global Forwarding’s chief executive officer (pictured), has been fired. No reason has been given but under his leadership the company has posted disappointing results and come under strong competition from Kuehne + Nagel.

Air Cargo News contacted company spokesperson Juliane Ranft who did not deny the rumours and declined to comment. She promised to provide a statement but this has yet to materialise. This makes it reasonable to assume there is some truth to the rumours.

DHL Global Forwarding is now likely to formally announce Ude’s firing tonight or tomorrow. Air Cargo News will provide more information when it becomes available.
