All change at the top for JAL

JAPAN Airlines (JAL) Group has made two new appointments for its restructure.Effective 1 February, Masaru Onishi will be president and chief operating officer. Onishi has been at the company since 1978 and since September last year has been an executive officer of Japan Airlines International.Hisao Taguchi will be executive vice-president of the Group and of Japan Airlines International. Since April last year, Taguchi was executive officer operations for JAL in the Kyushu region.The two will join business guru and Zen monk Kazuo Inamori (right), whom the Japanese government has just appointed as group chairman to steer JAL out of its troubles.
