Allied Air ups capacity

NIGERIAN all-cargo airline Allied Air, in partnership with ANA Aviation Services, has leased an MD-11F to accommodate peak Christmas freight.
Finland-based aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance provider Nordic Global is supplying the freighter from Ostende (Belgium), which is Allied Air’s European hub.
The freighter will operate on Allied’s regular routes to various points throughout Africa as well as bring fresh flowers and fish back from the continent to Europe.
Allied Air already runs a fleet of three MD-11Fs on a long-term lease based in Ostende. The company also operates three 727-200Fs.
