Atlas signs ACMI contract with TNT

ATLAS Air has signed an aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) contract with TNT Airways, the Belgium-based aviation division of TNT, to provide 747-400 freighter service for TNT’s international express air network.

The 747-400 freighter, which began operations for TNT Airways’ long-haul network on 15 September, will be based at TNT’s Liège (Belgium) hub.

“We are very pleased to add TNT Airways to our portfolio of ACMI customers,” said William Flynn, chief executive officer of Atlas Air’s parent company, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWH).
