BRITISH Airways World Cargo has announced a reduction to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be £0.40/US$0.60/€0.60, with effect from 5 January 2009.

Adam Carson, senior manager revenue management, British Airways World Cargo, said: “We are reducing the fuel surcharge following a continued fall in the price of fuel.”

The new rates are displayed on BA World Cargo’s fuel surcharge index, a tool designed to provide customers with more information about the calculation of fuel surcharges. It is updated every week and posted on the BA World Cargo website, www.baworldcargo.com.
