No, it’s not a street protest – staff at Ethiopian Airlines Group are symbolically burning the last bits of paper as they celebrate completion of a digitisation project on 28 September.
According to Ethiopian, the largest airline in Africa, the scheme covers all business processes including aircraft maintenance, flight and commercial operations, finance, customer services, procurement and supply chain.
No mention of cargo, though – an activity that has so far resisted all efforts to ditch the paper.
