Canada strikes ULD deal

AIR Canada is to outsource Unit Load Devices (ULD) management to CHEP Aerospace Solutions.
As part of the deal CHEP is acquiring Air Canada’s fleet of more than 8,000 units and will move them into its shared ULD pool. The move takes CHEP’s total fleet to more than 53,000 units.
Air Canada vice president cargo, Lise-Marie Turpin, says: “Our analysis revealed that CHEP was the best provider to deliver cost-savings and efficiencies, while removing hassle and administration, allowing us to focus on our core business of flying passengers and cargo.”
