CEVA merges Brazil Deere centres

CEVA Logistics and partner John Deere, agricultural machinery manufacturer, are to consolidate two of operations in Brazil. The two distribution centres in Catalao and Horizontina will now be combined into one in Caminas (State of Sau Paulo).

The consolidation will be concluded in the first quarter of 2009.

“For CEVA, the expansion of the five-year partnership with John Deere is a significant achievement,” said Guiseppe De Vincenzo, managing director for CEVA. “The distribution centre in Campinas is strategically positioned next to the Viracopos airport and next to the Santos Dumont highway, and will also use a transportation network in which we have expertise, optimising the processes of our customer.”
