CHEP wins Qatar deal

QATAR Airways has awarded its ULD and galley equipment maintenance contract to CHEP Aerospace Solutions in a five-year deal.
CHEP will use its global network of 50 repair stations to maintain Qatar Airways’ fleet of more than 24,000 ULDs and galley carts, and will expand this network by opening a repair location in Doha, Qatar.
Dr Ludwig Bertsch, CHEP Aerospace Solutions President, said: “Qatar Airways is a world leader in the aviation industry and we are delighted to have them as one of our customers.
“Outsourcing the repair and maintenance of non-flight-critical activities, such as ULD and galley cart pooling and maintenance, is becoming ever more popular.
“We believe CHEP is best positioned to meet this need in the industry.”
