China Cargo Airlines expands

CHINA Cargo Airlines has taken receipt of the first of six more 777 freighters.

Freighter expansion forms part of the carrier’s reorganisation programme, which it announced earlier in July.

News reports are unclear but it seems GE Capital Aviation Services is leasing the jets to China’s largest cargo airline.

The carrier is looking to attract investment from Cosco, EVA Airways and Singapore Airlines Cargo, as it models itself on an air-and-ground delivery network, modernising its real-time tracing of freight data and integrating logistic services between airline and air terminal.
