DSV launches express service

GLOBAL transport and logistics company DSV Air & Sea has launched its own courier and express service that will enable UK customers to use just one company for all their logistics needs.
Online pricing enquiries, bookings, track and trace, point of delivery and electronic invoicing put DSV XPress among the technological leaders in the courier market, company spokesperson Martin Rutter claims.
“The new services are aimed at customers who request same-day or next-day delivery of anything from bulky shipments to documents,” he adds.
The price of the service is flexible, depending on the urgency of the shipment.
“Instead of having to use one company for sea and air and others for road, warehousing and courier, we can now offer a single point of contact for all logistics services,” says Rutter, who is head of the UK operation.
The express service was offered initially in Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands and is now also available in Sweden and the UK, via a user-friendly, internet-based platform.
