DSV takes aim at e-commerce with S&H acquisition

DSV has expanded its e-commerce capabilities with the acquisition of Benelux logistics firm S&H.
S&H offers a range of services: warehousing; response handling; financial fulfilment; product fulfilment; European distribution; customer service; returns handling; e-fulfilment and supply chain management.
It covers both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets.
“S&H has proven itself as a champion within product fulfilment in the Benelux region, and we are very pleased to announce that S&H is now part of the DSV Group,” said chief executive of the DSV Solutions division, Brian Ejsing.
“We have been on the lookout for a suitable add-on acquisition to boost our capabilities within e-commerce, specifically multi-channel fulfilment. S&H is a great fit for DSV, and we are looking very much forward to taking full advantage of S&H’s expertise within this field”.
S&H is based in the Netherlands and employs approximately 120 people.
Signing and closing took place 4 September 2018, at which time DSV A/S acquired 100% of S&H’s shares.
With the acquisition, Hans Elshout has stepped down as chief executive, but will continue to work for DSV in an advisory capacity.
Peter van der Maas, executive vice president of the DSV Solutions division, has assumed the position as managing director in his place.
S&H will continue as a stand-alone company under the name of DSV Multi-channel Fulfilment.
