Etihad beefs-up Australian flights

ETIHAD is boosting its Australian service with the launch of two additional flights.
The UAE flag carrier will increase flights between Brisbane and Abu Dhabi (UAE) via Singapore from three times a week to a daily service from 1 February 2013.
James Hogan, Etihad’s chief executive officer, explains: “Going daily to Brisbane and Singapore puts us in a stronger competitive position and will increase the airline’s brand footprint exponentially in these markets.”
Etihad launched its Abu Dhabi-Singapore-Brisbane route in October 2007.  The additional flights will bring the number it operates in Australia, using an Airbus A330-200, to 28.
