FedEx expands Nordic freighters

FEDEX Express is introducing four 757 freighters to its base in Oslo (Norway).

The four aircraft will be used primarily to improve services between Norway and Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK. It will also include overnight, customs-cleared and door-to-door services to the US East Coast.

“By bringing four 757s into Northern Europe to operate these pivotal routes, we are underlining our ongoing commitment to the growth of our presence in Europe,” said Will Martin, managing director, UK FedEx Express operations.

The aircraft’s introduction allows the company to stop two slower feeder services operated by smaller regional aircraft, as well as an Airbus A300.
