Finnair and Neff plan cargo venture

FINNAIR Cargo and Neff Capital Management are in negotiations to start a cargo joint venture together.

In a statement the airline said: “Due to increased cargo demand Finnair Cargo is exploring the possibility of participating in a project aimed at starting intercontinental freighter operations from Helsinki”.

Neff Capital, owned and managed by Brian Neff, said the new company would operate between Helsinki and international destinations. Finnair Cargo would potentially be a minority shareholder in it.

Finnair has already agreed to sell Neff Air two MD-11 freighters.

Neff Capital is a Miami-based private equity firm focused on control investments within the aviation industry.
