Gefco block books Air China capacity

FRENCH international logistics company, Gefco, has signed a deal with Air China to block book belly capacity on inbound and outbound flights with the carrier.

The deal covers Air China’s Shanghai-Frankfurt and Shanghai-Paris (Charles de Gualle) routes, the latter of which will be Gefco’s Western European processing hub.

Gefco’s revenue fell 18.5 per cent last financial year, from €3.53 billion (US$4.81 billion) in 2008 to €2.88 billion ($3.92 billion) in 2009.
