Geneva airfreight on the up

GENEVA International Airport handled more than 12,500 tonnes of freight during the first three months of 2008, with a year-on-year increase of 5.1 per cent.

The airport has also seen the introduction of a daily British Airways wide-body flight (B767), between Geneva and London Heathrow and the launch of Qatar Airways’ sixth frequency between Doha and Geneva using an A330, leading to an increase in the belly-hold capacities out of Geneva.
