Hellmann airfreight exports rise 59 per cent

HELLMANN Worldwide Logistics UK saw its 2010 airfreight rise 25 per cent over 2008’s figures and 59 per cent over last year’s.

Matthew Marriott, Hellmann UK’s commercial director, said: “Obviously the Icelandic volcano explosion at the end of March had an impact but, despite this, our export figures have increased. We did see a dip in air cargo import volumes in April but were able to combat this through an increase in European sales, which led us to regain normal momentum by the end of the month.”
