Hellmann restructures airfreight

HELLMANN Worldwide Logistics is looking to expand its airfreight footprint this year.

Benne Nelles has taken on the newly created position of global product manager airfreight, aiming to enlarge the player’s international market position in the airfreight sector. Nelles has been a product manager for Germany at Hellmann since 2007.

Marc Meyer will fill a similar function on a regional level for Europe. Meyer joined as regional sales manager at Hellmann in 2009 and will focus on pricing and route development.

As a result of the restructuring, Günther Weichwald has succeeded Benno Nelles. After four years as branch manager at Hellmann in Frankfurt (Germany), he will now concentrate fully on the development of the company’s German airfreight business, including the Frankfurt gateway.
