Jade’s Chengdu hub opens up western China

JADE Cargo and the Chengdu Municipality have agreed to open an international air cargo hub in the area. Jade will operate routes to Europe and the Middle East from the hub, thereby opening up western China to those markets.
Jade will operate three weekly flights using 747–400ER freighters on the route, which will fly Chengdu–Vienna–Amsterdam–Dubai–Chengdu.“As the leading economically developing city in western China, Chengdu has a significant potential in the air cargo industry” said Kay Kratky, chief executive officer of Jade Cargo International.“Jade Cargo is the first globally operating all-cargo airline opening direct flights between Chengdu and European centres,” Kratky added. “We are very confident about the prospects in this area. We will provide superior air cargo services to the local high technology and export-oriented companies to create a win-win relationship with our customers.”
