Lan Cargo signs spare parts deal with Boeing

BOEING and Lan Cargo have announced the Latin American carrier will join Boeing’s component services programme (CSP). The CSP will provide the airline with worldwide access to spare parts for its fleet of 777 freighters.

Lan Cargo becomes the 12th airline in the 777 Component Services Program, which is offered jointly by Boeing and Air France Industries/KLM Engineering & Maintenance.

CSP allows airlines to outsource the cost and logistical issues associated with keeping important parts on hand, while reducing inventory.

Lan Cargo received its first of two 777 freighters in April 2009.
