Mercury acquires TAC

AIR CARGO player Mercury Air Group has purchased 50 per cent of the stock of cargo aircraft lessor Trans Asia Charters (TAC).
Aside from medium and long-term wet leases TAC also operates ad hoc full charters, focusing on cargo operations and military personnel flights.
Mercury is the largest cargo handler at Los Angeles International Airport (US).
“Over the last two years Mercury has expanded its cargo services into perishables and forwarding for the US military,” Joseph Czyzyk, chief executive officer of Mercury Air Group, said.
