New Heavyweight regional managers

HEAVYWEIGHT Air Express announced a series of commercial measures aimed at supporting and building upon its expanding US air cargo business. Highlighting these growth initiatives are recently appointed regional managers in both the US Southeast and West coast markets.

Arturo Horton (top right) joins as sales director based in Los Angeles and will directly manage the commercial aspect of Heavyweight’s cargo products in the Western region.

Complementing this new addition is Andy Roberts (below right), who assumes management of the Heavyweight Air Express office in the Southeast US. He will be based in Atlanta.

“There is little question that 2009 will see our industry facing some unprecedented challenges and we expect the US to be no exception,” said Peter Kerins, vice-president of sales for Heavyweight Air Express in the US. “Nonetheless, our business model and projected growth clearly mandate the addition of exceptionally talented and resourceful professionals. We view Arturo and Andy and our entire Heavyweight team, as the best frontline resource that will enable us to excel during uncertain times.”
