“We are missing skills and training in the supply chain. Unfortunately, we still don’t have an industry standard for our logistics industry when it comes to dealing with pharma; no working instructions in place overall. The lack of cooperation and communication is not only true in handling but in pharma as well. We are shy in sharing information and communicating, because of the liability [that may be involved]. The shipper tendering cargo shipments to us is very shy in sharing information as well. We are under cost pressure, we try to optimise cost and try to maximise our profit, which might have an influence on quality. We need to change. ”
