Tri-MG Airlines starts operations at Changi

INDONESIA’S all-cargo Tri-MG Airlines has started operating to Changi Airport (Singapore).

Tri-MG will operate 20 weekly scheduled 732-200 freighter flights between Singapore and Indonesia, comprising 12 flights to Jakarta, and eight to Balikpapan. This will take the total number of weekly scheduled freighter flights between Singapore and Indonesia to 67.

Changi Airport’s head of cargo and logistics development, Albert Lim, said: “We look forward to working closely with Tri-MG to identify new market opportunities and support their growth plans in the region.”

Airfreight tonnage between Singapore and Indonesia grew 13 per cent from January to July 2010, compared to 2009. Tri-MG is the second cargo carrier, after Malaysia’s Transmile Air, to begin operations at Changi in 2010.
