Vietnam cuts airport fees

VIETNAM has cut landing and take-off fees for international airlines by five per cent.Pham Xuan The, head of finance at the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, said that it was in response to the global recession. He added that the cut, which will last until 1 March, 2010, will apply to all three international airports in Vietnam: Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, and Da Nang Airport and Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.International airlines that fly most regularly to Vietnam include AirAsia, Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines and Thai Airways, but 40 others also use the airports.
