Virgin’s vice-president shuffle

ALL change at the top at Virgin Atlantic Cargo. James Williams, previously the carrier’s regional vice-president for Asia-Pacific, is its new vice-president for the Americas. He will be based in New York (US).

His replacement, Dominic Jones, will be based in Hong Kong. Jones was formerly the vice-president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

His replacement will be Nick Jones (no relation) who has rejoined Virgin Atlantic Cargo after three years with Emirates in Dubai. He will now be based in the UK at Heathrow Airport.

Dan Parker (right), vice-president commercial, said: “Our strategy is to rotate regional vice-presidents periodically to ensure our leadership team gains the biggest possible view of our network and customers at a local and international level.”

As well as the vice-presidential changes, Marie Epstein is the new US regional sales manager. Epstein will also be based in New York. Prior to joining Virgin Atlantic, she was at Delta Air Lines Cargo/Northwest Airlines Cargo.
