WCA conference pulls in record numbers

THE WCA Family Conference Week, held between 10 and 17 January, attracted 1,400 delegates, 300 more than originally planned.At the plenary session, David Yokeum (right), president, announced the launch of a new software platform being jointly developed with Kale Consultants, which will allow member freight companies to communicate with each other and translate data regardless of which existing system they own or use. In addition, DW Morgan presented an iPhone application that provides date-, time- and location-stamped proof of delivery.In September the WCA will organise a multi-modal event in Hong Kong with Air Cargo Media and the Chinese International Freight Forwarder Association.
