World Airways flies 747-400F for Jade

WORLD Airways has signed a one-year agreement with Jade Cargo International to operate a 747-400 freighter for the Chinese-German carrier.

From the start of October, and dependant on final government approvals, the freighter will fly thrice weekly on the Shanghai-Yantai (both China)-Chicago (US)-Amsterdam (The Netherlands)-Shanghai route.

“World Airways is proud to become a service provider for Jade Cargo, a well-known, quality cargo carrier and we look forward to a strong business relationship,” said Brian Bauer, chief commercial officer for Global Aviation Holdings, parent company of World Airways.

World recently announced an increase in cargo fleet capacity with the addition of two 747-400 freighters, which will bring World’s 747-400 fleet to four aircraft, in addition to nine MD-11 freighters.
