Airbus’ BizLab is buzzing with ideas

Plane-maker Airbus says that 30 start-up companies from its three BizLab schemes in Toulouse, Hamburg and Bangalore have pitched their projects to international investor at a summit in Toulouse.
Airbus describes BizLab as an aerospace business accelerator, giving new firms the opportunity to realise their ideas.
In parallel, Airbus Bizlab is now launching a further call for projects in either Hamburg or Toulouse and will also welcome applications from Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) start-ups. A call for projects for the BizLab in Bangalore will be launched later this year.
BizLab success stories include Uwinloc’s innovative RFID tracking system and an aircraft cabin lighting system that reduces jetlag.
