Boeing 747 at 50, take a trip down memory lane

Boeing has celebrated the 50th anniversary of its iconic B747 passenger and freighter aircraft with a look back over the key milestones of the original "jumbo jet".

The post also includes historic pictures of the B747 in the livery of the many airlines, passenger and freighter, which the majestic aircraft has served and continues to serve.
Celebration of the B747’s remarkable 50 year journey comes as Airbus announced that it will soon stop production of its jumbo, the A380, which had its first commercial flight in 2007.
