Dominic Holland to host the Air Cargo News Awards!

Dominic Holland

Air Cargo News is delighted to announce stand-up comedian and writer Dominic Holland as the host of the 2023 Air Cargo News Awards!

One of the country’s most highly regarded and respected comedians, Holland has enjoyed success as both a stand-up comedian and a writer and has appeared on shows including Have I Got News For You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and The Royal Variety Show.

His first full length solo show, Red Hot Dutch with Dominic, enjoyed huge success at the Edinburgh Fringe and he was presented with the prestigious Perrier Newcomer Award.

Regularly playing at The Comedy Store and Jongleurs, he quickly moved into television and became a familiar face thanks to his TV roundup on Clive Anderson Now.

Holland has written for the late Bob Monkhouse, Harry Enfield, Lenny Henry, and Clive Anderson. He has also contributed to The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, The Independent, The Sun, and the Daily Mirror.

He is the author of I, Gabriel, The Ripple Effect, The Fruit Bowl, Open Links, A Man’s Life, Only in America, Takes on Life and Eclipsed . His BBC Radio 4 show The Small World of Dominic Holland was followed up with Holland Shorts.

He has also appeared on The News Quiz and was the co-writer of Hal, a sitcom commissioned by BBC Radio 4, that starred Hal Cruttenden, in which he also appeared.

In his podcast Takes on Life, Holland speaks to a guest from comedy, business, sport, or academia, and has an interesting conversation about their takes on the vagaries of life.

Meanwhile, there is now less than six weeks to go until the Air Cargo News Awards take place on Thursday, October 12 at the London Syon Park Hilton, close to Heathrow Airport.

Voting is now closed for for the best regional cargo airlines and the coveted Cargo Airline of the Year categories. The winners will be announced on the night.

During the Awards ceremony, we will also be announcing the winners of our nine entered-for awards, judged by a panel of independent judges.

Find out about sponsorship opportunities and pricing on our Awards website, or by contacting Air Cargo News‘ advertising manager, Richard Perry at [email protected]

There are also still opportunities to book tickets for the awards. Last year, the awards ceremony was a sell-out, with almost 250 air cargo executives attending.
