Forwarder AVI-AD recruits former CAL Cargo COO

Former CAL Cargo Airlines chief operating officer Rami Marom has been appointed as the new chief executive of Israeli forwarder AVI-AD Logistics Services.
Marom started his new role at the Hellmann Worldwide Logistics-owned forwarder on January 1, taking over from Avi Cohen who will become an active chairman of the board.
Cohen said: “Rami has an impressive track record and rich management experience, and I am certain that he will bring with him a new spirit and momentum that will push the Company forward.
“Marom joining the Company is an important reinforcement for us. Selecting him puts the emphasis on a man who will possess the characteristics, ability and experience that will be necessary for a chief executives who will lead our Company in the coming years.”
Marom’s decision to step down as chief operating officer of CAL Cargo Airlines after nine years was announced in July last year. He was replaced by Yossi Shoukroun.
Marom has also served as a director and board member in Swissport Israel and CAL’s Liege Air Cargo Handling Services and he holds a degree in Business Management and a BA in Economics.
