New chief for Çelebi Ground Handling

Osman Yılmaz has been appointed managing director of Çelebi Ground Handling. He joined the company in 1996 and was latterly managing director for the Austria-Hungary operations.
He will support Çelebi Ground Handling and Cargo EMEA president, Atilla Korkmazoğlu, who has been serving a dual role and acting as managing director since March 2015.
Çelebi Aviation Holding paid tribute to Mr Yılmaz’s “broad professional knowledge, extensive operational experience and exemplary track record in overseas investments.”
Meanwhile, current Çelebi Ground Handling operations director, Taner Sarı will be appointed as Hungary managing director (from June 1), and Ferda Yakar becomes project coordinator at Çelebi Aviation Holding, responsible for all business development projects including the new airport in Istanbul.
