Steve Walker sets up logistics consultancy

The former head of UK freight forwarder SBS Worldwide, which was taken over by DSV, has launched his own consultancy after leaving the Danish company.
Steve Walker, who moved over to DSV when it bought out SBS Worldwide in 2013, yesterday launched Steve Walker Global.
The company offers consultancy, merger and acquisition, non-executive director, sales and marketing services. Walker has more than 35 years’ experience in running international companies and set up SBS Worldwide in 1983.
The company grew to become one of the UK’s largest independent freight forwarders, with a particular specialism in catering for the publishing industry.
It employed more than 220 people in three offices in the UK and four in the US.
