Charter broker Air Partner is expanding to the Nordics region and has appointed Kim Borgaard as head of business development in this area.

Borgaard joins Air Partner from Chapman Freeborn Airchartering where he spent 13 years as Nordic sales manager. Prior to working at Chapman Freeman, Borgaard spent 10 years as a Nordic sales manager at SAS Cargo Group, the cargo and logistics branch of SAS, Scandinavian Airlines.

He will be based just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark where he will use his cargo and passenger expertise to drive the company’s growth across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Working under Pierre Van Der Stichele, vice president of global charter, Borgaard will be responsible for developing Air Partner’s market presence in the Nordics region, utilising his experience in sales strategy development and client relationship management to identify opportunities, cultivate leads and deliver bespoke solutions to meet the unique needs of clients in the region.

The expansion into the region is part of Air Partner’s efforts to expand its cargo and passenger charter presence across Europe.

Pierre Van Der Stichele, vice president of global charter, said: “It is a pleasure to have Kim onboard, bringing with him over 23 years of experience and a brilliant reputation that will be instrumental in developing Air Partner’s international presence in the Nordic region.

“Having a boots-on-the-ground liaison is crucial to developing client relationships and providing the intricate knowledge necessary to give the best service for our clients. We look forward to working with Kim to develop Air Partner’s presence in the Nordic region and beyond.”
