Cargo carrier CAMEX Airlines has appointed a new chief operating officer.
The Tbilisi, Georgia-based airline said in a LinkedIn post that Shako Seturidze is managing day-to-day operations, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity and working closely with teams across the organisation.
Seturidze has previously held a variety of leadership positions, including roles in operations, customer service and business development in the US and Europe, said CAMEX.
With over five years of experience in the airfreight forwarding and global logistics industry, Seturidze “has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with managing a complex and dynamic business” said CAMEX.
The airline added: “This has given him a unique perspective on the airline industry and the skills and knowledge to lead our team effectively. Shako is committed to driving continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.”
CAMEX Airlines took delivery of its first Boeing B737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) from San Francisco, California-headquartered lessor BBAM in July last year.
