Temperature-controlled container firm CSafe Global has appointed Venu Vinjamaram into the role of senior vice president of technology and innovation, as it looks to digitise its operations.
Vinjamaram joins CSafe Global after having worked at AmerisourceBergen, where he held several technical and executive roles. Most recently at AmerisourceBergen, he provided technology leadership at World Courier and was responsible for a multi-year digital transformation initiative.
In his new role, Vinjamaram will be responsible for IT and digital strategy spanning applications, data, cybersecurity and infrastructure.
CSafe chief executive Patrick Schafer commented: “With the launch of our shipment visibility platform and our future plans for additional digital innovations in the cold chain industry, we need strong technical expertise at the senior team level to drive strategic development and growth with focus on continuous transformation which includes efficiency, security and user experience.
“Vinjamaram brings nearly 25 years’ experience as a technology executive within the healthcare and cold chain logistics industries.
“His focus on partnership, team building, innovation and delivering on strategic plans aligns perfectly with our vision for the future of our business. I am delighted to have Vinjamaram on board for this next phase in CSafe’s long history of success.”
Vinjamaram added: “Joining CSafe now – as the company continues to grow and deliver new innovations in both thermal packaging and digital solutions – is exciting at a professional level and satisfying at a personal level because I will remain in the healthcare industry and have the opportunity to positively impact patients’ lives.
“I think the timing is perfect for both the organisation and for me. This is a unique opportunity to contribute in a significant way to the future of the cold chain industry and I am ready to get to work and see what great things we can all accomplish together.”
